Perhaps but it does not matter. Report the purchase as unauthorized to the credit card issuer and go to the police – you are the victim of identity theft.

no close the account and have the bank send you a new card. Then make a police report so you can get the funds back from the bank. It may be some one very close to you

an e card is personal and it may be someone you know in your presents often, but you still need to report it as an unauthorize purchase and file an police report in order to have your money refunded. Cancel the card with you company.

Better make a complaint immediately to Cr.Card provider n also to the local police authorities..
They can catch hold the person / seller.
All the best.

In about a week fraud will be calling you. They probably won’t discuss it in detail but some providers such as JCPenney will have detailed listing of what was purchased.

If you haven’t already, call the card issuer and file a police report. It is a hassle but is well worth it. Make sure they issue a new card with a different number and also contact the credit bureaus to put a fraud alert. annualcreditreport.com is one stop vs calling three.

report this to your credit card company. they will do the leg work for you. the amount of an e-card is small. they can track the culprit down . but probably won’t tell you who did it. you will get a refund.

The issuer of the credit card will do all the tracking necessary. Report it to the credit card company immediately and they will close the account and issue a new credit card. Most credit card issuers catch this automatically when the card number is used and the merchandise is sent to another address other than the billing address. This happened to me a while back and the credit card company contacted me to see if I had made a purchase and had the merchandise delivered to another address. I told them I had not done this. They didn’t allow the transaction to go through because I had never sent purchased merchandise to an address other than my billing address. They immediately canceled the card and issued a new one in case the credit card number had been “passed on”. I never heard from them if they had been able to find out any information about the transaction that never took place. If your credit card issuer ever manages to find out who received the merchandise or who used your credit card, They may contact you for some questioning. They don’t really have to involve you unless it’s necessary because the credit card is actually their property. this is why it is very important to check and re-check your credit card statement every month to make sure that no “unauthorized” merchandise has been purchased. Good luck1

File a fraud claim with your credit card company. You will not be responsible for charges you did not make.
